Founded in 1994, Austen Surveying provides quality land surveying services to residential, commercial and governmental clients—including homeowners, oil and gas companies, private developers, municipalities, and state agencies.
Serving West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York, our experienced survey teams are experts in a broad range of survey categories, but with the prime focus—exceeding the expectation of our clients.
We use advanced technologies, including 3D laser scanning and modeling, RTK GPS, and robotic total stations to complete our projects timely, economically and accurately. Through a combination of our vast experience, mobile field office, and advanced field / office software, Austen Surveying has the ability to adapt to changing project needs and get results–on time and on budget.

Belinda Austen
Co-Founder & President
Belinda Austen is the co-founder and president of Austen Surveying, where she oversees all activities related to daily operations, project management and business development, and is responsible for cultivating and enhancing strategic client relationships.
A graduate of Tiffin University, she is a seasoned and highly skilled administrator, project manager and facilitator with over 30 years of management, marketing, financial and legal experience. She has broad-based administrative experience in diverse business sectors including experience with several leading regional and international law firms.
Michael Austen, PS
Co-Founder & Principal Professional Land Surveyor
Michael Austen is the co-founder and principal professional land surveyor of Austen Surveying. Licensed in West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York, he has over 35 years of surveying experience, supervising surveying operations for numerous projects totaling over one billion dollars. He has extensive experience and expertise in a variety of surveying disciplines including residential and commercial boundary, topographic, right-of-way / easement, as-built, Army Corps of Engineers large lock and dam, and large construction sites—as well as heavy highway construction projects, mass earth moving, large power plant facility sites, and extensive expertise in conducting / supervising surveying and mapping of gas pipelines / facilities in the Marcellus and Utica shale play regions.
